How do I sell my business?

An advertisement with is a great place to start.

You can take a limited free trial, which means you create a business listing that is live on the site for thousands of buyers to see. Once you receive your first buyer e/inquiry, your business will remain on the site for a further 20 days for free.

You will be able to view some of the information a buyer has provided, however we will withhold the full contact details. Once you pay, we will then release the contact information of the buyers interested in your business.

Alternatively, you can take a 1 month, 3 month or 6 month subscription.

What are the costs of advertising?

There is a one off cost for advertising your business and this will vary according to the length of time you choose to advertise it for. is not a broker and we do not charge a commission for helping you sell your business. is an advertising service. We consider ourselves to be a marketplace that allows anyone selling a business – whether privately or by a professional broker or agent – to list their details on the site.

While you are paying for an advertising subscription, you can also pay for a Business Spotlight – placing your business on the homepage for a 24 hour period.

Can I remain anonymous when selling?

Yes. recognises that selling a business is a sensitive process and we respect the privacy of sellers.

As a seller, you do not have to reveal specific details about your business for sale – such as the name of the business or its exact location. Also, you don’t need to reveal any contact details such as your email address, telephone number or name. All messages from buyers are delivered to you through the email system. This means that your anonymity can be protected at all times.


How do buyers make contact with me?

Buyers send an email directly to you by clicking the ‘Contact Seller’ button on your listing.

All messages from buyers are delivered to you through the email system. You are able to screen all messages before replying.

Please note, when advertising on the free trial, some of the buyer’s contact details will be removed.


How do I monitor / improve my listing?

As soon as your business goes live on the site you can sign in and make changes to your listing.

Please note: when you submit a listing for the first time and when you submit a change, it may take up to one working day for our customer services team to process.

At any time during your advertising period you can sign in and monitor all inquiries made on your listing.

How do I renew my listing?

The advertising period is for two calendar months. Throughout this period we will send you emails updating you on how long your business listing has left to run. Two weeks before your expiry date is due you will be offered the opportunity to renew your listing for a further two months. However, you can sign into your account any time after your expiry date and make your business live again.
